This Survival Guide was written to help you survive your first year, by those students who went through it most recently. Here, we give our honest opinions and suggestions on classes, what books to buy, places to eat and study, where to work out, good places to live, plus lots more! We sincerely hope that our advice will save you time, money, and possibly some frustration. Remember, the people who organized this Guide did so because they care about you as colleagues and as people. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact any of us! We wish you the best of luck! You can't live in Bloomington without having fun and enjoying everything the city has to offer. The Bloomington Center is built on strong academics, a supportive staff and faculty, and great facilities. The center, in the west end of Jordan Hall, is located centrally off of 3rd street close to most libraries and eateries. We really look forward to seeing you down on the Bloomington campus and remember, if you have ANY questions at all, ask them! |
Life in Bloomington

During your first week of school, you will be flooded with information on how to survive and succeed during your time at IU. You will get many different perspectives and opinions, but in the end, YOU will have to figure out what works best for you. So listen to everything, but take it all with a grain of salt.
